Soviet Kitsch

Bonjour Mes Amies!! Hope the New Year is going S'wonderfully for you all (sorry, I went to the see the English National Ballet perform 'Strictly Gershwin' last night and am still trying to come down from the insane high).

Just a quick picture post, as promised in my bid to be a better blogger this year. I've been rocking a 'soviet kitsch' look for a while now thanks to an amazing faux fur hat I bought (new) from a London vintage shop. Not only is it warm, but it protects my lovely straightened hair from the awful British weather. I get killer hat hair though.

I paired it with this INSANE oversized man's coat I found in a charity shop a while ago and have been meaning to share with you all. My waist is one of my best features (the exact same width as Audrey Hepburn's don'tcha know?) so I've sinched it in with a belt, and my suede wedged boots (you all know I love me a wedge). I realise I look like a Russian soldier. But hopefully a very fashionable one...

Hope you're staying safe and chic chéries,

English Rose x

  1. I love wearing things that are to big for me. I think you make a great soldier.

  3. It's a nice coat. By the way, a bit random, but I noticed you said "don'tcha know?" - a common phrase by hares in the Redwall books. Was that intentional, wot?
